Our History

Kirby Lane's story began long before the food trucks arrived. For 40 years, 105 Bridge Street was home to Kirby Carriers, a Nelson family-owned freight company with deep roots in the city.

A New Chapter

In 2013, Galen King, founder of the award-winning coworking space The Bridge Street Collective, purchased the land with a vision to expand its community-inspired space.

Rather than lose the site's connection to its past, the Kirby name returned, this time as Kirby Lane.
